York County School Division

Stay Connected

The York County School Division believes having active, involved and informed parents and families is critical to our students’ success. Because effective communication is critical to strong partnerships and engagement, we provide a variety of ways to communicate and engage with our community.

EngagedIN YCSD

One of the primary responsibilities of a school system is to prepare students for their future. After all, today's students are the computer experts, contractors, doctors, educators, entrepreneurs, and employees of tomorrow.

The EngagedIN YCSD program connects interested parents, community members, and businesses with schools and students to share their career experiences or expertise with students.

There are multiple ways for individuals (working or retired) and businesses to help YCSD students make these Career Connections. To become involved, simply complete the EngagedIN form to share contact information, career field info, engagement interests, and availability.

YCSD App

YCSD offers a mobile app to help parents stay on top of what matters most. Homework and grades, staff email directories, school and division notification, social media, calendar of events, menus, confidential bullying report, maps & directions, and more are accessible from your smart phone or tablet. Users control the settings so they receive information from only those schools they care about. It's a quick way and efficient way to stay connected while you're on the go.

Download the free app for your iPhone or Android device to get all the information you need at your fingertips!

  • Customize the app to view the info you want most
  • Follow the school(s) or your choice
  • Receive push notifications in emergencies

Contact Information

It is very important that families provide schools with current home address, home phone number and email address (if exists) to ensure schools can reach you with important information. Student contact forms will be provided to all families at the start of the school year and should be returned immediately.

Emergency Notification

Families will be notified of emergencies through the division’s rapid notification system. Families are encouraged to remain close to their source of communication, whether it is phone or email, to ensure they are receiving accurate and timely updates on the emergency from school division staff.
