Educational Technology

The effective use of technology is vital to student success, as technology touches every aspect of our daily lives in the twenty-first century. The York County School Division is a recognized leader in the use of technology to enhance learning, teaching, engagement and assessment.

The division is committed to supporting research-based best practices to provide students with the tools and resources that increase opportunities for authentic, meaningful and innovative educational experiences. New and emerging technologies are investigated and evaluated to support personalized learning in preparing all students to make productive contributions in the world.

A long-range Educational Technology Plan is the living document that guides the work and planning for educational technology. The plan is adopted by the School Board every five years and is reviewed annually by a division technology committee.
