The walk was the culmination of a year-long effort to create awareness and raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation on behalf of current THS DECA Senior, Amanda Varnes. In December, Tabb held their Fashion Show for a Cause which collected almost $1,500. They kept fundraising to bring their total to $2,500 to present on the day of the walk. Together, with other teams, the walk brought in over $25,000! Ninety percent of all donations go directly back to funding research to both control and cure this disease.
