Camille Perry and Sarah Benothmane, eighth grade students of Minouche Kaufman-Perry at Yorktown Middle School, have ranked nationally in the 78th annual National French Contest, Le Grand Concours. Students were evaluated for their written, oral and listening comprehension skills in French 2. Nearly 100,000 students in all 50 states competed in the 2013 event. Camille Perry ranked 6th in Virginia and 7th nationally, while Sarah Benothmane ranked 8th in Virginia and 9th nationally for French Level 2.
