Bus Routes and Stops
Students who attend the York County School Division, live within the county and outside of walking zones are provided free transportation to and from school. The Transportation Department determines bus routes, bus and driver assignments, bus stops and pick-up/drop-off times.
The York County School Division utilizes a software program to manage school bus transportation. The system allows families to find information regarding bus stop information and transportation eligibility. Families of students with special transportation needs can access information here and will still be contacted directly by their bus drivers.
Bus pick-up and drop-off times are approximate and can vary due to unforeseen circumstances.
E-Link Bus Routes Lookup
Families of students with special needs can use the Advanced Search feature. They will also be contacted by their bus drivers and given specific routing information prior to initial pick up.
If you use this online routing system and still have questions about your child's transportation, please contact your child's school, or 757-898-0344.
How did the division create routes?
Each route was established based upon the following criteria:
Why were some bus stops removed?
Neighborhood stops were reviewed to create as many centralized stops as possible, while adhering also to the division policy regarding distance between stop locations. In most cases we try to use intersections which are easy to locate and where motorists are more alert to pedestrians. Consolidating stops also keeps the buses moving and reduces ride times.
What does “No route info available” mean?
The student may not be registered to receive transportation. It is the parent's responsibility to ensure that transportation is requested at the school level. Make sure you have entered the correct grade level, street address and zip code for the student. If you continue to receive this response, the address may be within a School Board designated walking zone for that grade. If you do not live in a walking zone and receive this message, please contact your student's school, or 757-898-0344.
Will the system include more than just daily routes?
E-link does not provide transportation schedules for activity buses, field trips, athletic events or buses transporting students between schools while participating in specific programs such as Gifted, School of the Arts, NJROTC, etc.
What if we moved during the summer?
If your address has changed, please contact your child’s school to correct the student’s information prior to the start of the school year to ensure your student is assigned to the correct bus.
I'm not receiving notifications on the My Stop app on an Android device?
Due to a recent change in the Android privacy policy, anyone with My Stop version 2.4.4328 and above will need to disable and reenable their My Stop Student Scan and/or Delayed Bus Notifications to continue receiving notifications.
