Career Coaches

The York County School Division is committed to ensuring all students graduate with the skills and knowledge to be successful and productive citizens in whichever career path they choose. Career coaches work with school counselors, classroom teachers and administrators to support YCSD Strategic Plan objectives and division initiatives related to career readiness. This includes developing and implementing career preparation experiences at the high school level to include identifying appropriate work-based learning opportunities for students and assisting students in pursuing academic and career objectives.

Develop a post-graduation plan

Career coaches support students and counselors by reviewing Academic and Career Plans to align course selections with the student's career interests.

Students receive help in areas such as job applications, resume writing, portfolio development, and essential interview skills.

YCSD offer multiple ways for student to begin experiencing their chosen career field while also earning high school course credits:
