Tutoring Funds Available

Virginia families can now apply for funds from the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) to help support the costs of tutoring and other similar services. K-12 Learning Acceleration grants of $1,500 are available to families of any public, private, parochial or home-school student in grades K-12 residing in Virginia, while qualifying families are eligible for $3,000.

Information about the grant process and opportunities to receive support in applying for the grants is available on the division website.

Elementary Attendance Zones

The York County School Division will review and evaluate elementary attendance zones in the coming months to address continued increases in elementary student enrollment. The division will engage the services of a consultant to analyze county data and prepare potential options for a committee of families and staff to review. Any resulting recommendations will be presented to the School Board for consideration in early 2024.

Ribbons for first, second, and third place, as well as “Best in Show,” will be awarded.

Community Announcements

The York County School Division offers local businesses and organizations the opportunity to share information with students and parents regarding educational/enrichment activities, events and opportunities, which are either available to YCSD students or support division programs. These flyers are neither sponsored nor endorsed by the York County School Division or the schools, but are made available as a community service for our families.

Community announcements can also be found on the division website and each school's website.
