YCSD Mitigation Strategies - Transportation Mask Update

Late Friday afternoon, the CDC announced it will no longer require individuals to wear masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems. This means that beginning tomorrow Monday, February 28, use of masks on division transportation will be optional for students.

The School Board monthly meeting scheduled for tomorrow evening will include an update on the state order that currently requires all staff to wear masks indoors and in vehicles until York County reaches moderate community transmission, as defined by the Virginia Department of Health, or the order is rescinded by the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry.
