Title: ASSESSMENT AND COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR (ACC)

Primary Function:
Coordinates and manages local, state and national testing programs. Coordinates and manages division-wide testing programs. Coordinates remediation programs and maintains records for targeted students. Coordinates and manages student truancy and discipline related to school and class attendance. Coordinates and monitors processes and requirements related to eligibility and implementation of 504 plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A valid Virginia teaching license and at least three years of successful teaching/K-12 experience. Administrative endorsement required. Candidates currently seeking an administrative endorsement will be considered.
Necessary and Special Qualifications:
- A valid Virginia Driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to create spreadsheets, charts, and graphs in Excel to manage testing data.
- Skilled in the use of technology to manage online testing; and to utilize electronic databases.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to manage multiple process deadlines; ability to observe, interpret, and document observations related to requirements of Section 504 plans; ability to maintain legal compliance related to requirements of Section 504 plans and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

Performance Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all components of Response to Intervention (RtI) to include identification, meetings, and paperwork (grades K-8).
- Serves as the School Testing Coordinator, coordinates, and implements building-level testing procedures and protocols for state and national testing, and for local testing as applicable.
- Under the principal’s supervision, provides instructional leadership.
- Prepares reports as requested.
- Provides necessary student data to school board office staff.
- Assists building administrators in analyzing data related to national, state, and local assessments; works with building staff to determine students in need of retaking SOL and alternative assessments.
- Coordinates procurement and organization of testing materials; distributes test results; provides training to school staff for all testing programs; assists administrators in reporting irregularities.
- Coordinates and implements online Standards of Learning (SOL) to include state alternate assessment testing as mandated by YCSD; coordinates the school-based local verified credit program as appropriate.
- Works with YCSD Attendance Officer to develop and to implement attendance plans; addresses disciplinary referrals related to truancy and school and class tardiness. Completes and submits truancy referral packets and monitors students on attendance plans and notifies staff of absences continue to accumulate.
- Coordinates all components of student 504 plans, including scheduling evaluations, eligibility meetings, and Section 504 meetings and provides leadership in the development of these plans.
- Plans, manages paperwork and facilitates all meetings related to student 504 plans; observes, interprets and documents observations related to requirements of Section 504 plans. Informs relevant staff of 504 plans and monitors compliance.
- Coordinates and manages all components of remediation programs to include student identification for programs, student records, funding, data and reports required for remediation programs and funding.
- Analyzes student achievement and assessment data with administrators, leadership teams and instructional staff to determine effectiveness of instructional programs.
- Provides staff development in data analysis techniques and other topics as needed.
- Attend and provide leadership in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Terms of Employment:
Teacher contract plus 14 days. Salary according to School Board Pay Plan.
Evaluation:
Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with school board policies.
