COORDINATOR OF PERSONNEL SERVICES
Primary Function
Under minimal supervision, performs specialized technical and administrative personnel duties, supervises personnel technical employees, and manages the day to day functions of the personnel office and the Subfinder and Subpay systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in education, human resources, personnel administration or related field; and three to five years of experience in human resources field; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to operate a variety of automated office machines which include a personal computer, calculator, copier and facsimile machine.

Ability to create and implement technical personnel procedures designed to comply with generally accepted personnel practices and state and federal law and to improve operations.

Ability to plan, coordinate, and direct the work of subordinates.

Ability to work independently on responsible and complicated administrative assignments.

Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods in the performance of routine duties.

Ability to organize multiple tasks and develop procedures.

Ability to collect, analyze, synthesize and evaluate complex information in order to produce reports and make judgments and decisions.

Ability to prepare correspondence, narrative and statistical reports, forms, surveys, etc., using prescribed formats and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style
Performance Responsibilities
- Manages, coordinates and directs technical personnel functions and drafts and prepares a variety of correspondence and technical reports.

Supervises and evaluates the technical work of subordinates.

Supervises the maintenance and updating of the PC-based Human Resource Management System and manages personnel entry in the Kronos.

Assists in managing the recruiting, interview and hiring process and assists in the orientation of new employees.

Maintains the pay plans and assists in the preparation of budget requests.

Oversees on-line application program and conducts pre-employment screening.

Stays abreast of federal and state laws concerning personnel procedures and manages the maintenance of employee licensure required by federal, state and/or local code.

Supervises the operation of the automated substitute calling system and Subpay.

Gathers data and ensures the proper preparation of a variety of reports and documents including position status reports, supplement distributions, employee directory, EEOC and personnel management documents.

Recommends changes in procedures and implements upon approval.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Terms of Employment:
Twelve months a year. Salary according to School Board Pay Plan.
Evaluation:
Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with School Board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of technical personnel.
