High School Level
By high school, students should be implementing a personalized Academic and Career Plan (ACP) that prepares them for post-secondary career options. In addition to rigorous and engaging class experiences, students have the opportunity to experience careers through mentorships, internships, employment, and service learning.
School counselors meet with students and parents annually to update and refine ACPs to ensure all students graduate, on-time, with the skills, knowledge, experiences and attributes defined in the Profile of a Virginia Graduate.
