Over the last several years, the School Board has held multiple discussions related to the emerging trends for later high school start times based on research and data associated with adolescent sleep patterns and the impact of school start times on student health, growth and achievement. Earlier this year, we conducted a survey to determine the level of knowledge our community has on the topic and how we could best provide additional information to our stakeholders. The York County School Board awarded a contract to the MidAmr Group to analyze current research and literature regarding the Medical Aspects of Adolescent Sleep Patterns. Scope of Work
