School Start Times
The York County School Division is currently reviewing options for changes to school start and dismissal times, also known as bell schedules, and the impact any change would have on students and staff, transportation, and after-school activities. The School Board and division staff will continue to review and analyze the alternative options, which are provided below, before making any determinations regarding school start times.
The division plans to seek parent, student and staff feedback later this school year through a variety of methods including online surveys. If the School Board decides to implement alternative hours, the new school hours would not be implemented until the 2015-2016 school year.
