Posted On: Thursday, August 09, 2012

Three York County School Division (YCSD) educators were selected by Microsoft Corp. to showcase the innovative ways YCSD uses technology in and beyond the classroom at the Microsoft Partners in Learning 2012 US Forum in Redmond, Washington this month. Kelley Queen and Jennifer Thomas, Tabb Middle School, and Bonnie Ellis, York High School, were among 102 educators from 25 states selected to represent their schools and colleagues.

The Partners in Learning US Forum, an annual event, connects and celebrates the nation’s top educators for the outstanding and innovative work they are doing with technology to creatively engage students and peers.

“YCSD teachers and administrators are invested in incorporating technology into our daily curriculum,” shared Eric Williams, Ed.D., YCSD Superintendent. “We are proud to have three of our own selected to showcase how the division engages students and helps them leave their mark on the world.”

Dr. Williams also attended the event, compliments of Microsoft Corp., to serve as a project judge. For more information, visit http://bit.ly/PILUSWinners.
