An Apple Award for Tabb High

Posted On: Friday, March 09, 2012
This year, two faculty members at Tabb High School (THS) received Apple Awards. Eric Williams, Ed.D., Superintendent of the York County School Division made a surprise visit in the THS auditorium during the March 2 faculty meeting to present Kelly Queen, Education Technology Facilitator (ETF) and Roxanne O'Regan, English teacher with their "Apples".

Roxanne was awarded her apple because of her introduction of the extracurricular club, Rachel's Challenge at Tabb High. She and her group have been instrumental in increasing awareness of the impact of bulling on students. They have actively campaigned against bulling and have taken their efforts into the community through multiple community awareness activities and through television publicity.

Kelly is the ETF for Tabb High. Since arriving at THS, Kelly has proven herself invaluable to the teachers, administrators and students when it comes to the implementation of new and innovative technology for the classroom as well as keeping THS up to date with existing technology. Her presence in the classroom, informative newsletters, technology training and relevant professional development has made her a stand out member of the Tabb team. Congratulations Roxanne and Kelly.
