The Tabb High School Student Council Association (SCA) welcomed students to Tabb High during the New Student Orientation in September. Vice President, Stacey Harlow and Advisor, Leann Sasamoto organized the event. The commons area was filled with club and organization, booster club and local business displays with over 500 students and parents in attendance. The displays offered information on the extracurricular activities available at THS. The program began with a welcome from the SCA Vice President and the Presentation of Colors by the THS NJROTC Color Guard lead by Cadet Chief Ross Barnett. Parents and students were introduced to student leaders, administration, faculty and staff. Class President, Tom West addressed his freshman class, “We are not little kids anymore. We are in high school. More than that – we are in Tabb High School.” The THS Multimedia class created and presented a PowerPoint of opportunities, encouragement and tips for a successful start to the school year. The activities concluded with SCA guided tours of the building for the students and a question and answer session for the parents in the auditorium.
