Grafton Bethel Fourth Graders Donate Quilts to Social Services
Posted On: Thursday, June 23, 2011
All of the fourth grade students at Grafton Bethel Elementary School (GBES) donated fabric pieces that were made into quilts by parent volunteers. At the annual GBES History Knowledge Bowl, the students "finished" the quilts by tying finishing knots into the quilts. The school then donated the quilts to Social Services. Social Services gives the quilts to foster children in the local area as a gift during transitions when the children are placed in new situations.
