Division “Road-E-O” Title Goes to YCSD!

Ralph Crockett, a York County School Division (YCSD) bus driver since 2006, has been named the 2011 Regional “Road-E-O” Winner as well as the 2011 Local “Road-E-O” winner. Ralph competed in the regional “Road-E-O” where he scored a 558 out of a possible 610 to secure the title. Ralph is the first YCSD bus driver to have ever won the regional title. He also won the regional title in 2010 making this his second consecutive win. He holds the honor of being the local winner for the past four consecutive years. Ralph says “driving in the “Road-E-O” is like playing corn hole, you gotta stay focused.”
 
Ralph was born in Bluefield, Virginia, a fifth generation Davey Crockett. He was raised in southwest Virginia and relocated to York County in 1961 to eventually work with the Shipyard for over 44 years. In 2006, he started driving a bus for YCSD and he regularly drives bus number 58. Ralph’s other is past time is playing corn-hole in which he enjoys competing with his co-worker George White in various tournaments around tidewater area.
