YCSD Remote Learning Day - January 27, 2026

The York County School Division will implement an Asynchronous Remote Learning Day tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026. This will be the first day of the second semester and an A-Day for middle school and high school students.

Although crews have been working throughout the day to clear school sites, some parking lots and residential roads remain unsafe. In addition, a Cold Weather Advisory overnight will prevent melting and create potentially hazardous travel conditions in the morning.

Student Information

• Students will complete learning activities from home at their own pace.
• Teachers will communicate directly with families with instructions and expectations for student work.

Staff Information

• Essential personnel should report as directed by their supervisors.
• Staff who worked remotely today will do so again.
• Staff identified in the Instructional Response to School Closure Standard Operating Procedure will also work remotely.

Please note that all after-school activities and events are canceled for Tuesday, January 27. Building access by students, staff and the community will not be permitted.

We understand schedule changes can create challenges for families, and we appreciate your continued patience and flexibility. However, the safety of our students, staff, and community must remain our top priority. We look forward to returning to our regular schedule as conditions improve across the entire county.
