YCSD Students Advance to PTA National Competition

Two York County School Division students earned first place honors at the state level of this year's PTA Reflections program. The PTA Reflections contest is a national initiative founded in 1969 that encourages students to express themselves through the arts and be rewarded for their effort. The theme of this year's contest was "Show Your Voice!" The following students' submissions will move on to the national level of the competition:

  • Cailyn McAllister – Outstanding Interpretation, Dance Choreography (Grafton High School)
  • Emily Tassara – Outstanding Interpretation, Photography (Bruton High School)

In addition, several students received Award of Excellence as well as Award of Merit:

  • Skyler Graves – Award of Excellence, Dance Choreography (Waller Mill Elementary School)
  • Madelyn Eno – Award of Merit, Dance Choreography (Queens Lake Middle School)
  • Charles Kirchmaier – Award of Excellence, Film Production (Tabb High School)
  • Isabella Roesch – Award of Merit, Music Composition (Bruton High School)
  • Quinn Olivo – Award of Merit, Photography (Tabb Middle School)
  • Hannah Hong – Award of Merit, Visual Arts (Grafton High School)
