Bruton High School Student Competes in Triangle Hunter Derby

Riyah Hammarsten, sophomore at Bruton High School, competed in the $500 Triangle Hunter Derby in Raleigh, NC. She qualified in the top 12 and with a score of 148, she finished 5th, among amateurs and professionals. She also won Reserve Champion for her division, Low Hunter 2'6".

Competitors came from all over the country to compete. Riyah plans on pursuing a degree in equine veterinary medicine in college as well as competing on a collegiate level team.
