Congratulations to Grafton High School’s (GHS) Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) for earning state recognition:
Chris Whitmire - 1st Place, Accounting I
Rand Irons - 1st Place, Personal Finance
Fangdi Sun - 3rd Place, Economics
Rand Irons was installed as the new Virginia State Vice-President to represent the Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) Region. Additionally, the GHS chapter was awarded the honors of: 5th largest chapter in the state of Virginia, Honor Chapter (one of 2 in the TNCC region) and National Gold Seal Chapter. Honors awards are given for having a well-rounded balance of activities based on number of points earned. First place Virginia state winners will compete at the National FBLA Conference to be held at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee in July.
