New Childcare Opportunity

The York County School Division has long recognized the importance of ensuring families have access to high quality childcare when students are not in school. We are pleased to share that the division will be awarding a new contract for childcare provided at our elementary schools.

Beginning this fall, Right at School, a national recognized student enrichment provider, will be the division’s childcare partner. Right at School was selected from among three final candidates through the county’s competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) process. The committee’s goal was to select a provider who will:

• provide meaningful, engaging and fun activities for our students
• establish channels for open, frequent and ongoing communication with schools and the division
• provide the most affordable options for childcare for families, including discounts for military, YCSD staff and free/reduced families

The summer childcare program will continue to be operated by Champions as the division prepares for the transition to our new partner. Champions will provide families enrolled in the summer program and pre-enrolled for the fall program with additional information in the coming days.
