YCSD Remote Model Shift - Feb. 12, 2021

Posted On: Thursday, February 11, 2021

York County School Division staff have been closely monitoring the Winter Weather Advisory for tomorrow while also consulting with local emergency officials. Multiple forecast models are predicting a high probability of snowfall in Williamsburg and York County, along with the possibility of freezing rain, which could cause hazardous road conditions in the morning.

After careful consideration, and in order to allow families time to develop plans, the division will shift all students to the Remote Learning Model tomorrow, Friday, February 12 – this includes the Virtual Academy. Students should log in to class for synchronous instruction in accordance with their school schedule tomorrow morning. Essential staff should report onsite as directed by their supervisor, while all other staff are authorized to telework. Weekend athletics schedules will be evaluated tomorrow.
