YCSD Board Meetings & Public Comment Forums

The School Board and the York County School Division have scheduled a series of meetings to discuss plans for the 2020-21 school year. A special meeting, during which the superintendent and staff will present information, will take place Thursday, July 23 at 5 p.m.. Following that meeting, there will opportunities for stakeholders to provide comment through two virtual Public Comment Sessions scheduled for Monday, July 27 at 6 p.m. and Tuesday, July 28 at noon. Finally, a special meeting will take place on July 30 at 5 p.m. for the School Board to take action for the 2020-21 school year.

In accordance with state codes, the meetings and comment sessions will be streamed through the division’s YouTube channel. Public comments will be accepted via video, which can be uploaded to Dropbox by 8 a.m. Monday, July 27. If you are unable to comment via video, voicemail messages will be incorporated in the live Public Comment Sessions as time allows. All comments submitted via video and voicemail will be received by the School Board and included as a public record on the division website.

To Provide Public Comment:

The School Board Rules of Procedure allow for one comment per person and may be no more than three (3) minutes in length, with no more than 30 minutes total allocated for the comments. All comments must begin with the speaker’s name and address.

In addition to comments, stakeholders can share questions regarding planning for the 2020-21 school year online via an Office 365 Form. This form will remain available through 8 a.m., July 30.
