YCSD Schools Closed - March 16-27, 2020

As you may have heard, at approximately 2:30 this afternoon Governor Northam ordered all Virginia public schools to close for a minimum of two weeks, beginning Monday, March 16 and through at least Friday, March 27, 2020.

We know our students, families and staff will have many questions as we enter these unchartered waters. I want to assure you that YCSD staff have a plan for the continuity of learning for this very possibility. Our teachers have been developing those resources today and we will share more information on how parents and students can access these resources and tools within the next few days. Additionally, we will be providing staff with information regarding our continuity of operations and expectations for working from home during this closure.

Please continue to monitor email, voice mail, text messages, the division website, and official social media pages for updates and information.

Once again, all schools are closed by order of the Governor for a minimum of two weeks, beginning Monday, March 16, 2020 and through at least Friday, March 27, 2020.
