WMES First Grade Habitat Project

Posted On: Wednesday, January 29, 2020
Jamie Looby’s first grade class at Waller Mill Elementary learned all about animals during their Animal Unit in science. Students learned that animals need air, water, food, and shelter. Students classified animals based on being mammals, reptiles, birds or amphibians. They then learned more about where they live, how they move, body coverings, etc. To show what they have learned, students had the opportunity to put it all together and make a 3D model of an animal of their choice. Students then presented their animal to the class, along with important information about the animal.
