Posted On: Thursday, May 09, 2019

Please join us in congratulating Katelynne Berland, a senior at Grafton High School and New Horizon's Regional Governor School for Science and Technology. This week, she was named as one of the 161 students nationwide selected as a 2019 Presidential Scholar. Seniors earn this prestigious recognition for their accomplishments in academics, the arts and career, and technical education. Berland was one of only two selected from Virginia.

Katelynne recently presented at the National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium in Albuquerque, and will be presenting again at the INTEL International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix next week. She will also be presenting at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference in Los Angeles this July. She will be pursuing a biomedical engineering degree next year at Georgia Tech.
