The York County School Division will host its third Principal for a Day program on Thursday, November 8, in honor of National Education Association’s American Education Week which takes place every November. The program pairs local elected officials, community leaders, and military personnel with a principal and is designed to provide participants the opportunity to learn first-hand about the issues facing today’s educators and administrators. Activities will range from staff meetings, parent conferences, classroom observations, lunchroom and carpool duty, as well as the many unexpected events that occur every day. The division will also host a reception for all participants from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 8, at the Freight Shed in Yorktown.
