YCSD Make-Up Day Survey

Posted On: Tuesday, October 16, 2018

As you know, YCSD students have missed five days of learning this school year due to Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael. The division has extended one school day (Dec. 19) to address some of this lost instructional time and is now reviewing additional make-up options. We would like your input before the superintendent makes further adjustments to the 2018-19 school calendar.

Division leaders have identified three possible options to schedule a full school day and provide students with important academic support during the first semester – Monday, Nov. 12, Wednesday, Nov. 21, or Thursday, December 20. Please complete a brief online survey by 5 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18., to share your preference as to which day the division should use as a make-up day.

Makeup plans will be announced by phone, email, and all social media platforms. A revised calendar will also be posted on the school division website and all school websites.
