Black History Trivia Bowl

York High School hosted the 5th Annual Black History Trivia Bowl competition on February 20, 2010. The event was co-sponsored by the Langley Heritage Club with Master Sargent Venis Adam directing the event. This was the largest turnout ever with more than 70 participants in attendance and all four high schools represented. Staff worked hand-in-hand with the Langley Heritage Club to make the experience memorable for parents, coaches and most of all the students. The Grafton High School team won for the fourth year, Congratulations!
 
The team coaches were: York High School - Veverlyn Lee and Samuel Eure, Tabb High School – Gina Mancuso-Sidu, Darcel Boyer and Gwendolyn Banks, Grafton High School - Antoinette Burnett, Bruton High School – Deborah Ray and Aaron Butler. York High School will host the Black History Trivia Bowl again next school year.
