Tabb Middle School's FIRST Lego League team advanced to the state competition in December. 11 students in grades 6, 7 and 8 worked after school and Saturdays throughout the first quarter of the school year to engineer a Lego Robot. The robot must perform challenge missions presented to them through the FIRST Lego League competition. Additionally, they identified a problem related to the human water cycle, and designed and shared a solution for harvesting rainwater. In addition to this competition aspects, team members are part of a larger robotics club at Tabb Middle and will help teach other students how to build and program Lego robots in the spring.
