Breakout activities are engaging students across the division. Fifth graders in Lynn Morris’ class at Grafton Bethel Elementary School (GBES) participated in the Asteroid Collision digital breakout. Students worked together to solve four locks in 45 minutes to save the space station from impending doom. In the quest to save themselves, they had to solve multistep math problems to find the digital lock, decode a directional lock, use logic to solve the color lock, and use reading skills to discover the word lock. Students were very excited to save the space station. It was an awesome lesson.
