According to the groundhog we're going to get six more weeks of winter, but Mt. Vernon Elementary School first graders are ready for spring. Taking advantage of warmer weather this week, the students took turns planting daffodil and tulip bulbs in the flower beds around the school. They are hoping the groundhog is wrong because they want the warm weather to help their newly-planted flowers grow!
