Grafton Middle School Students Study Chesapeake Bay WatershedGrafton Middle School (GMS) sixth grade science classes took a field trip to Back Creek Park in Seaford recently to explore aspects of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. They kayaked and learned about water quality and abiotic factors that affect the health of the water, and then made observations of the wetland along the edges of the creek. They were also able to go crabbing off the dock using chicken legs. Students will use their experience to create posters and bookmarks with ways to “save the bay”.
