Posted On: Friday, September 16, 2016

The York County School Division (YCSD) is pleased to announce that four students have been selected as 2017 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists. The program is based upon student performance on the PSAT taken during a student’s junior year. Congratulations to Bruton High School’s Rachel Brotherton, Grafton High School’s Katie Liu and Miroslava Marinova, and York High School’s David Lee.

More than 1.4 million students, in more than 22,000 high schools around the country, entered the program by taking the 2013 PSAT. Of those, approximately 16,000 students were named semifinalists and can compete for the 7,500 National Merit Scholarships that together are worth more than $33 million and will be awarded next spring.
