Girls on the Run Service Project

Posted On: Friday, June 10, 2016
The Girls on the Run (GOTR) club at Dare Elementary School baked and sold $455 worth of baked goods during three after-school functions. The girls wanted to donate the money raised to a local no-kill animal shelter. Recently, students, coaches and parents met at Poquoson Animal Welfare Sanctuary (PAWS) after school and delivered the donation. PAWS operates completely on donations. The girls learned about how this shelter came about and how much money it takes to provide for these cats each day. Everyone was all smiles to see what their hard work did to support the shelter. Thank you so much to the Dare Girls on the Run club (and their parents) for making this all happen.
