DES 2015 Reflections Winners

Dare Elementary School (DES) has announced the student winners in this year’s PTA Reflections competition, which had the theme "Let Your Imagination Fly." Of the 13 submissions, five 1st place winners will go on to compete at the York County level, and then potentially the district, state, and national levels.

Literature (grades 3-5)

1st Place: Olivia Buckman- "Peace"

Literature (grades PK-2)

1st Place: Mary Hautz- "Light in the Sky"

Photography (grades 3-5)

1st Place: Connor Gates- "The Time of Color"

Visual Arts (grades 3-5)

1st Place: McKenna Hall- “A Royalty Daze”
2nd Place: Ashton Carpenter- “Creative Express”
3rd place: Ben Minor- “Mecha Universe”
Honorable Mention: MacKenzie Holden- “The Deep Blue Sea”

Visual Arts (grade PK-2)

1st place: Riley Hogge- “Use Your Imagination Flying Into A Book”
2nd place: Chase Brown- “Airplanes in the Night Sky”
3rd place: Corey Overmeyer- “Sparkle Planet”
Honorable Mention: Averie Hall- “Unicorn Dream” 
                                    J. J. Carpenter- “Imagination Station”
                                    Henry Minor- “Mount Surreal”

The art submissions will be on display in the school’s trophy case outside the front office for all to enjoy during the next few weeks.
