Science "Egg-cellence"

How salty does water have to be before an egg floats? Fifth grade students at Seaford Elementary School got their hands wet this week while testing their theories regarding density. Students placed eggs in cups of water and, as expected, the eggs all sank to the bottom. They added one spoonful of salt at a time, increasing the density of the water, until the eggs floated to the top.
