YRA Student Designs Winning Poster

Josh Wright, junior at York River Academy (YRA), won the "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" poster contest. Using his business and technology skills, Josh produced his poster using Adobe Photoshop CS6. His originality and eye for design really stands out in his computer artwork. The poster contest was coordinated through business classes with YRA teachers Starla Wheeler and Sam Carpenter.

Shawna Gray, executive director of Center for Sexual Assault Survivors, joined the teachers to present Josh with his prize, a $50 gift card. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is an annual event in which men raise money for the Center for Sexual Assault Survivor by walking a mile in women's shoes. This year's event will be held on April 11 at the Peninsula Town Center in Hampton.
