We Can Be Heroes (Great Kindness Challenge)

York County School Division elementary schools participated in the Great Kindness Challenge the week of January 26. Waller Mill Elementary School wrapped up the week with a community hero tunnel. As students entered school Friday morning, they walked through a tunnel made up of local “heroes,” including representatives from the school division and the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.

The Great Kindness Challenge is a week-long proactive and positive bully prevention initiative that improves school climate and increases student engagement.
