Posted On: Friday, March 21, 2014

Congratulations to Chelsei Fox, sixth grade teacher at Grafton Middle School (GMS), on becoming one of fifteen Microsoft in Education’s (MIE) 2014 Global Forum Educator Award winners. Chelsei was recognized as Second runner-up in the Learning Beyond the Classroom Category for her Wild, Wild, Weather project at the Global Forum in Barcelona, Spain last week. As part of her transformative learning project, Chelsei’s students studied severe weather and created digital content on specific weather phenomenon using Discovery Education’s Board Builder platform.

The MIE Global Forum recognizes and celebrates the achievements of educators who are preparing students for life in the 21st Century. Only 260 of the more than 22,000 teachers who applied for the MIE program were selected to attend the event. Chelsei was one of only 12 individual winners, and the only winner recognized from the United States.
