Teachers Blog to Share Instructional Strategies

Posted On: Friday, February 21, 2014
Two Grafton Middle School (GMS) teachers shared ideas regarding effective instructional practices in recent blog posts. Jill Barnes’ blog post shares insight regarding the use of Web 2.0 tools such as Kidblog and the importance of authentic audiences for students’ writing. Chelsei Fox’s blog post explores the struggle between requiring versus inspiring the integration of instructional technology in classrooms. Blogging to share such powerful ideas is an excellent example of teacher leadership and both Jill and Chelsei represent the many strong teacher leaders in the York County School Division.
