GHS Student Actors Qualify for National Competition

Six Grafton High School (GHS) students have qualified to compete at the International Thespian Festival to be held at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in June! They each received an “Accomplished” rating at the state level. The GHS students earning the opportunity to compete in June are:

Kylie Kraft for Stage Management
Anita Brown for Costume Design
Steven Clifton and Michael McGinnis for Duet Acting
Savannah Sanchez for Monologue
Karese Kaw-uh for Solo Musical

In addition, Savannah Sanchez, Michael McGinnis and Steven Clifton received the Critic’s Choice Award for being the judge’s favorites and were invited to perform on the Main Stage for the entire national conference! Only students from three schools in Virginia were invited to perform a Main Stage Show.
