The York County School Division (YCSD) held its second Codeathon 2.0 on Thursday, January 9 at York High School, with 100 students participating from YCSD middle and high schools. The Codeathon 2.0 provided students with a dynamic overview and hands-on experience that included programming and game design concepts. Presenters from Microsoft Corporation, Longwood University, Christopher Newport University, and Thomas Nelson Community College shared their expertise. Students learned about components, elements and software used to engineer games and apps and to showcase real-world applications.
