Students Working to Fight Hunger

Posted On: Friday, November 08, 2013
School of the Arts students (SOA) learned about the issue of hunger, as well as about different types of clay pots while participating in the Empty Bowls project this year. Empty Bowls is an international project to fight hunger. Participants create ceramic bowls and then serve a simple meal of soup and bread. In exchange for a small donation, guests choose one of the ceramic bowls to keep as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in the world. Students are inviting the entire community to join their efforts this Sunday, November 10, from 1 to 5 p.m. at 2nd Sundays in Williamsburg’s Merchant Square.
