K-9 Search and Rescue Visits Tabb Middle

Lt. Vernon Max Frayser, of the Hanover Fire-EMS Technical Rescue Team, and his K-9 partner, Liberty, recently visited Mr. William Howard's Forensic Science and Criminal Justice classes at Tabb Middle School (TMS). Liberty, a nine-year-old Black Lab mix, is an Air Scent Urban Search and Rescue Canine. She is specially trained to locate a live victim that cannot be seen or is concealed by debris. Lt. Frayser and Liberty respond to special emergencies such as building collapses, industrial accidents, water rescue calls, trench collapses, etc. Mr. Howard's students received a demonstration of some of Liberty's many skills.
