Tabb Middle School Sixth Graders Communicate with Author

Students in Mrs. Evans' sixth grade English classes have been reading author Peg Kehret's novels, including Runaway Twin and Stolen Children, this year during Literature Circles. The students absolutely loved her books and encouraged other students to read them as well.

In order to learn more about Mrs. Kehret's books and writing, the students generated questions and sent them to her via email. They were delighted to receive a response two days later and find that she answered each individual question. Ms. Kehret even added several attachments that further explained some of the questions.

The students thought it was pretty cool to connect with one of their new favorite authors.
