Superintendent Committees

The York County School Division invites interested community members to join the superintendent's Community Leadership Advisors for Student Success (CLASS) program for the 2024-25 school year.

About CLASS

The program supports the division’s Collective Commitment in which students, staff, families and community members are invested in student outcomes and actively engaged in meaningful, collaborative relationships to support student success.

Program participants will engage with the superintendent and other YCSD leaders in a collaborative setting, addressing key topics such as:

• Strategic planning
• Budgeting and expenditure procedures
• Instruction and educational experiences
• School safety measures
• Recruiting and retention efforts

Program Schedule

All sessions will take place from 4-6 p.m. at the School Board Office, located at 302 Dare Road, Yorktown, Va.

Program Requirements

Participants must:

• Be a York County resident or York County business owner.
• Commit to attending no less than three scheduled program sessions.
• Have an interest in developing deeper knowledge about the York County School Division.
• Share why they are invested in supporting student success.
