The York Foundation for Public Education, Inc. is governed by a board of trustees made up of a cross section of York County citizens. The York Foundation for Public Education, Inc. board also has the superintendent of schools on the board and an executive director working as a liaison between the school administration and the Foundation.
Our school community's two greatest assets are the spirit of our residents, and their total commitment to education. The community expects excellence and supports the commitment it requires. This commitment led to the establishment of the York Foundation for Public Education, Inc. Our goal is expanded educational opportunities and educational excellence, not for just a few, but for all our students.

Dear Prospective Trustee:
Since 1994 the York County School Division has received support for programs from the York Foundation for Public Education, Inc. The members of the Foundation have focused on technology initiatives, student leadership grants and teacher mini-grants for innovative projects. Students, teachers and administrators of York County Public Schools have valued these initiatives, as well as other Foundation sponsored projects.
We are seeking individuals to join our board who have a vested interest in our community and school division.
The Foundation is a tax-exempt 501 c3 organization that supports all of York County School Division. We have nineteen schools with a student enrollment of more than twelve thousand.
Our Board of Trustees meets bimonthly. We would like to invite you to attend one of our upcoming meetings. Please call (757) 898-0451 if you care to join us. After viewing this web site and attending one of our meetings, you may express your interest to serve on the Board of Trustees.
